It’s been an awesome May here at Trilix. On May 1, we celebrated our one-year birthday and, as one would expect with birthdays, that involved a lot of reminiscing, laughing and laying predictions for the future. We also had a blast commemorating our birthday month across social media (check out our Facebook page to see what I mean).

But coming off the heels of our one-year business anniversary, we have immediately started to look forward to Year 2 and set our sights on some lofty goals that will allow us to have an even greater impact.

At the start of this month, I shared our top moments from Year 1 (click here) which included launching a movement to workplace excellence, conceptualizing some pretty awesome applications with our clients and placing intentional focus around building our corporate culture, among other things. Today, I want to spend time looking forward and sharing what you can expect from Trilix in the year to come.

Smart, Deliberate Growth

Here at Trilix, we subscribe to a healthy, intentional growth imperative, so we can continue to serve our clients with the care and attention to detail they have come to expect, while still increasing our ability to serve the larger community.

Over the next five years we expect to reach 20 percent year-over-year growth which will allow us to support more companies and business leaders on their journey to workplace excellence. We believe a significant portion of that growth will come from our application development and professional services as we help clients more purposefully fuse together technology and operations to reach their objectives. Whether it’s helping businesses build membership portals, dashboards or custom applications, we look forward to innovating together.

With our smart, deliberate growth as a driving motivator, we will welcome Year 2 with new clients, partners and employees.

Spark Technology, Process Change

If you haven’t caught it, there’s this amazing quote that TED talk powerhouse Brené Brown gives in, The Power of Vulnerability: “Knock discomfort upside the head and move it over.” (You can check out the full video here.)

This quote perfectly describes what we must do to affect change, whether at the personal or professional level. We must tackle the feelings often associated with change—discomfort, fear, anxiety, the great unknown, and even excitement —and, as Brené so eloquently states, give it a good kick to make room for GREAT transformation and growth.

This year we will continue to help our clients recognize that change is possible and that technology can accelerate that transformation. Acceleration can come in many forms, from selecting and implementing a new business application to finally automating a manual process to integrating your office phone system with your CRM to going paperless. As business leaders, when we have a greater appetite for change we can truly evolve our businesses. In the coming year we will continue to partner with our clients on introducing transformative technologies and process improvements that allow them to save money, enhance efficiency and improve employee morale, among other things. We will empower agents of change.

Continued Focus on Innovation

At Trilix, we love a good brainstorming session, particularly when it centers around innovations we could bring to our customers that will support them on their quest to becoming more impactful as business leaders. This year we will continue to spend time innovating and incubating, always thinking about the next great thing, concept and platform we can introduce to our audience. (HINT: we are currently considering a few applications that we could introduce to the market that we think are capable of disruption; stay tuned!)

To keep our desire to create front and center, we will look to hold innovation-centered focus groups in the coming months. There we will explore the viability and use cases of some of our top ideas and welcome the amazing ideas that come when you open your mind to the notion of co-creation. More details coming soon!

Client Connectedness

At this time of year, we can’t help but think of all our amazing clients who made our Year 1 dreams possible. To those of you who welcomed Trilix into your organizations, our sincerest thank you. Thank you for your belief, support, friendship and business.

As we look ahead, we are excited to be able to continue to build our strong relationships with our clients. Together, we look forward to helping you drive new opportunity into your business, eradicate organizational waste and reach a heightened level of workplace excellence.

A Look Forward

One of my favorite quotes has always been: “Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.” –  Rumi

It describes the balance we must strike from holding on and learning from the past, and relinquishing “what was” for “what can be.” When I think of our year ahead, I am immediately reminded of this quote as for us we will do both: be grateful for what we have experienced and exhilarated by the thought of what can be.

So, as we embrace Year 2 with open arms, I want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible employees, our clients and the greater Trilix community. We can’t wait for what’s ahead!

“It’s your road, and yours alone, others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.” Rumi
