Cranston, R.I. – Thursday, October 18, 2018—Trilix Senior Software Developer Travis Eland has been recognized by the Tech Collective, in partnership with Rhode Island Monthly, with a Tech10 Award in the Outstanding Technology Practitioner category. Established in 2011, Tech10 recognizes individuals and companies “driving innovation, education, and growth across Rhode Island’s technology ecosystem,” according to the Tech Collective.
“Trilix prides itself on hiring great people and having Travis recognized as part of this year’s Tech10 award winners is an incredible honor for the organization,” said Randy Jackvony, Trilix’s Principal of Technology and Client Services. “Travis is a true ‘triple threat,’ being a tremendous developer, having great analysis proficiency and boasting amazing people skills. As a talented system architect and developer, he is a trusted resource for our clients and member of the team. We are so proud to have Travis on our team and cannot wait to see his career continue to unfold.”
At Trilix, Eland is responsible for creating the technology architecture of client solutions, as well as the coding of websites, custom applications and system integrations. He worked as a Software Engineer for Northrop Grumman Information Systems for more than nine years, before most recently working as a Senior Platform Developer for Atrion for the past four-plus years. Eland holds the following Microsoft certifications: MCSA: Web Applications, MCSD: App Builder, and MCSD: SharePoint Applications.
Eland has worked on a number of client projects throughout the year, from creating an asset management tracking system for a property management company to envisioning and architecting an inventory and fleet tracking system for a large state agency.
“I love learning new technologies, but my favorite part of my job is knowing that the work that we are doing is having a meaningful impact on the lives of others,” says Eland. “While our work does help to increase profitability or efficiency for companies, I find that the most rewarding part is knowing that we have helped improve the day-to-day life of the people who use the tools that we build. The relationships that I build with our clients are what keep me interested in doing what we do.”
Eland joins 16 other recipients, whom will be honored during the Tech10 reception, taking place November 15. To read more about the Tech10 awards, click here.
