Cranston, R.I. – Tuesday, February 19, 2019—Trilix Lead Architect Scott Cornell will be teaching a two-part Flutter training series at the Tech Collective for developers and technology leaders interested in learning more about Google’s new cross-platform framework, Flutter. As the demand for applications for both IOS and Android grows, there is a need to develop mobile applications with one code base. Though Ionic, Xamarin, NativeScript, and React Native have been the main stays for cross-platform frameworks to date, Google’s Flutter is quickly gaining traction.
In this two-part series, Cornell will introduce attendees to Google’s newest framework, now at release 1.0.0, covering everything from Flutter architecture to layouts and navigation to animations.
“Over the years, several cross-platform mobile frameworks have come out: Xamarin, Ionic, React Native and NativeScript, but now there is a new kid coming to the playground, and its name is Flutter. In many ways, it could be a game-changer,” says Cornell. “At Trilix, we have been spending time training our in-house development team on Flutter so that we can bring this framework to our customers. With this training series, we can bring this education to a larger subset of developers. I look forward to diving into the impact of Flutter with the Tech Collective community.”
During the two-part series, taking place at the Tech Collective in Providence, Rhode Island, attendees will dive into several components of Flutter, from how to download and setup Flutter, to how to work with Simulators and Emulators to how to create Widgets, Pages, Routes, Models and Animations. Attendees will participate in small group exercises live to get a feel for the technology in real time. The first training will take place from 9 am to 12 pm Tuesday, March 19; part 2 will take place from 9 am to 12 pm Tuesday, March 26. Attendees can register for a single session or both sessions.
“We are pleased to offer this state-of-the-art, cross platform, mobile app training to the greater Tech Collective community,” says Joe Devine, Vice Chair of the Tech Collective Board of Directors and interim executive director. “Flutter is quickly gaining accolades for being one of the fastest tools to develop native apps. The Tech Collective is proud that Trilix, one of our members, is able to provide an educational training on this technology with our entire membership community!”
Last year, Cornell launched a Flutter educational blog series through the Trilix blogging platform, helping bring developers up to speed on Google’s newest framework. In addition, he presented an overview of Flutter at the Prov.JS meetup in November of 2019 and will be continuing to train on the technology through several training organizations and venues in the coming months.
